A little bit about me

I'm Ashleigh
I am 28 years old and I currently live on the west coast of Scotland. I am a self-taught photographer. I specialise in pet photography. I love the out doors, animals and hiking. I have always worked with animals and during this time I must have filled my phone with photos of all the animals I have worked with. This is where my passion for photography started.
Where it all began
I am originally from Keelby, a little village in Lincolnshire.
From since I can remember we have always had pets at my family home. I remember every pet, however we do not have the best photos of these gorgeous animals. With my current dog, Harley, I love taking him on adventures and capturing special moments to keep with me always. I would love to be able to create these memories for you to keep with you forever.
In February 2023 I finally bought myself a camera after debating it for many years. This was the best decision I have ever made. Since then I have been learning and experimenting to try and create the best photos that will last forever.
Taking photos had been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Around 15/16 years old, I started an amazing job working with sea lions and birds.
This was an incredible experience that continued into my 20s. It began in Cleethorpes at pleasure island and ended at Blackpool zoo. During this time, at every opportunity I had, I would take as many photos and videos so that these memories would be with me forever.
I still take a look back on these memories and remind myself how lucky I was to work in such an amazing place with the best animals and fabulous people.
For college I lived at Bishop Burton college where I studied animal management. I gained the most amazing group of friends. We would go on a lot of trips as a group and I would always be the one that has the most photos from every trip.
Since college I love going on holidays, travelling, hiking, all kinds of adventures, and seeing new places and learning new things.
I have made so many special memories and I feel so lucky that I will have these forever all because of a little lens that is able to capture these moments in time.
When I moved back home after living in Blackpool I ran my own dog walking and pet care business. I would take so many photos of pets to send to the owners to keep.
It was at this point that I loved being able to give these owners good quality photos of their pets they would be a nice memory for them to have evermore.
My phone then had over 100,000 photos of everything and anything. I love scrolling through my photos most days to look at memories. I wanted to become a photographer so that I can help others have these moments always.
